A Brand New Day

I cannot recall a moment in my life or in U.S. history for that matter that the goals and fundamentals that these United States were founded on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness have NEVER been more tangible.

Today at 12:00 a.m. we stand at the doorway of the country that my grandparents, and my grandparents grandparents envisioned when they gave their lives quite literally to make this land what it is.

Barack Obama is proof that little boys and girls everywhere can achieve anything and everything they so desire (a statement that is not new, but is now true). The individual votes we cast earlier today have given hope to the hopeless, a voice to the silenced and vision to the blinded.

I challenge each and every friend who reads my thoughts here to break down a door, rectify a wrong, dissolve a myth, be an AMERICAN.
